Our Assessors
Enlighten Enviro Ltd employs the most experienced professionals to provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
Our EPC assessors have inspected thousands of properties around the UK, and are accredited to provide certificates including Residential EPCs, Level 3/4 Commercial EPCs, DECs, On Construction EPCs and air conditioning inspections.
Our assessors can operate in all areas of the country, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are regulated by the RICS and NES and have over 20 years’ chartered surveying and property experience, not to mention environmental expertise. All of our EPC assessors have photo ID with a government accreditation number and their level of qualification.
Accreditation
We directly employ all of our energy assessors and they are accredited by National Energy Services Ltd (NES) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to Level 3 and 4 standards. As we offer national coverage, our employed assessors are also qualified to provide energy certification in both Scotland and Northern Ireland. John qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and subsequently was elected as a Member of the Academy of Experts. He has specialised in the inspection of buildings and diagnosis of their problems throughout his career. His qualifications as a Commercial Energy Assessor with the RICS and National Energy Services - together with residential assessor qualifications for both private sector dwellings and public sector sampling - have allowed him to provide practical solutions in the provision of real estate information to clients.
Prior to becoming accredited as an energy assessor, Andrew has been involved in the design and installation of Building Services installations and low/zero carbon technologies for over 14 years. Andrew is qualified to degree level in Building Services Engineering and is currently completing an MSc. In Sustainable Building Services Design. He is a member of the Energy Institute and registered with CIBSE as a Low Carbon Consultant.
Outside of work Andrew is involved in a number of sporting activities including Golf, Football, Badminton and distance running. Personnel achievements include completing the three peaks challenge in 24 Hours, completing several half marathons and the London marathon.
After graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Natural Environmental Sciences, Neil passed his Science Postgraduate Certificate of Education and taught secondary school science for several years. Neil has a keen interest in environmental issues and subsequently trained to be both a Domestic Energy Assessor and a Non-Domestic Energy Assessor by gaining Diplomas in Home Inspection and Non-Domestic Energy Assessment respectively. Neil is currently completing a qualification in Display Energy Certificates.
Neil is a keen cyclist, walker and Outward Bound enthusiast. Notable achievements include cycling the UK coast-to-coast, completing the Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours and cycling from John O Groats to Lands End for Cancer Research.
After several years working in the construction industry on plant equipment, Neil qualified and served as a firefighter for nine years, which included vocational Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessment training courses.
Having a keen interest in property, he qualified as Home Inspector and Domestic Energy Assessor at the start of 2008 and then went on to qualify as a Commercial Energy Assessor. He is currently completing a further qualification in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment and also in Asbestos Sampling and Surveying.
Neil's interests include motorsport, playing guitar and drums, and general keep fit by cycling and training at the gym.
Since completing the BTEC national business course, Ian has been mainly involved in the property market.
Ian is qualified in 2D computer aided design and has experience in producing floor plans for marketing material. He is a qualified portable appliance tester and a domestic and commercial energy assessor to level 3.
Married with two children, Ian enjoys family fun at weekends and holidays, is a keen sportsman, enjoying golf, tennis and many other sports and following his local team, Aston Villa.
